after setting up my new dir-655 my pc's cannot share any files. I have tried turning off my firewall (kaspersky) although there was no problem with my old router. all pc's are running windows 7 and are on the homegroup.I can see all the pc's but cannot share anything.after reading some of the other post I have made sure that WLAN is unchecked.the router version is b1. any help would be appreciated

Because of the addition of the new router, the path that Windows takes to find something that has already been shared has been changed. Windows remembers the route it takes along the network by the MAC addresses it encounters along the way. Best way to fix this is to unshare the folders and reshare them.

I would also set up static reserved IP addresses for ALL of your connected devices on the router. Then make sure that your devices networking is set up to Auto Obtain IP addressing. This will ensure the devices will keep one IP address.
