Title: Are you having problems bridging to newer routers at 5 ghz?
Post by: kskimmel on March 16, 2011, 10:07:33 AM
I have read many posts regarding losing connections after about ten minutes or so.  After installing a new router I had this issue at 5 ghz.  I solved the problem by disabling "packet aggregation" on the router 5 ghz advanced settings page.  Try this and post your results.

I am having problems at 5ghz but only in wireless n mode.  It bridges to wireless a just fine.  I looked in the settings for my router (D-Link DIR-815) and couldn't find anything about packet aggregation.  Is there another name it might possible go under?

So far the DAP 1522 has worked well with the following  D link 855 , Linksys wrt6oo , wrt 300 v-i  , netgear  wndr 3700 v-1 and now Asus RT N66 . SAo far the DAP has outlasted all the routers ! 855 went bad , wrt 600 lost 2.4 radio , 3700 had 2.4 radio get weak , wrt 300 still works but needed 2 channels so out it went .  So far DAP has been going 24/7 for 41/2 years ,best wireless product ever !
