Title: Update for Roku and BD300 Netflix Streaming Users?

I have searched here and google, etc. but have not found any mention of fixes other than downrev to v1.11. 

The problem: Moving from Firmware rev 1.11 to 1.21 causes my LG BD300 Blu-ray player to no longer be able to view Netflix on-demand.  I get can get to the NetFlix menu intermittently, but am not able to play movies at all.  Without any other change, when I back-rev to v1.11, it all works perfectly (but of course I lose features that I want such as printer hookup and SecureSpot).

Tried disabling DNS relay and manually entering DNS servers?

Not sure if I tried diable DNS Relay, but I did try giving it a specific DNS to no avail.

Okay, upgraded to v1.21, disabled DNS Relay, but now can't use web browser etc... re-enabled DNS Relay.  Will play more later.  I would like to know though, what is the point of disabling DNS Relay?

Together with disabling DNS relay you NEED to enter DNS servers manually in the router and reboot. Just give it a try. With this the router will send every DNS request directly to the entered external DNS servers without acting as one (which can cause connection issues sometimes).

Got it.  Will try again tomorrow.  Wifey in raid in WoW and if I kick her off now.. .whoa... bad news.

My NetFlix can wait.  Actually for now I have backrev'd again so all set.  Thanks for info.  So to be crystal clear, I first jot down the DNS that are down on status page.  Update, reload config, then go to config page and plug in the primary and secondary DNS and shut off DNS Relay.

Use the OpenDNS ones:

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

They are fast and reliable. ISP's often use slow DNS servers.

I have a Dlink DIR-655 Router. I own a BD300 and have had the same problem since updating my firmware last month.

Can someone explain how to disable DNS forwarding on this router, and also where I would add the Open DNS addresses suggested?

I ended up going back to the version 1.11 firmware and Netflix works again on the BD300. I sure hope D-link will get a fix to the firmware out soon.

First open a command prompt (Win + r, then type cmd), then type ipconfig /all.  Look for DNS Servers, and copy down the two entries.

Make sure your router is connecting to your ISP via DHCP:
Setup -> Internet -> Manual -> My internet connection is DHCP

Configure DNS:
Setup -> Internet -> Manual -> Primary and Secondary DNS Server -> use 0.0.0.0. 

Turn off DNS relay:
Setup -> Network Settings -> Enable DNS Relay -> remove checkmark

Reboot the router and you should be up and running.  If you can't connect to the internet, reconfigure your DNS settings with the DNS server information that you copied down earlier.

Thanks KegofBeer. I had to go back to the old version of the firmware . . . and wait for D-link to solve this problem. If you think this would work around that . . . let me know.
