Title: How to back-up selected Files/Folders from left-right HD
Post by: sache on March 19, 2011, 09:46:13 PM
Hi, I have some files and folders where I store music and programs that I just cannot loose. Is there anyway or special trick, that would let me select certain folders that would copy to the other hard drive regularly--like once a week? I don't want a RAID configuration because I DONT an identical copy of ALL the information from one HD to the other. The dns-323 is connected to a wndr3700, which is connected to a desktop running xp. The files on the dns-323 are accessed wirelessly from a macbook pro. Any help with this would be great! :)

You can schedule directory copies from one disk to the other using the "Application" area of the NAS's web configuration area.

NAS -> Applications -> Schedule Download. For the trick to work make sure you select "Folder" Type. Everything else should be straighforward.
