Title: DNS-321 with PS3 problem
Post by: OFilippov on March 20, 2011, 10:27:05 AM
Hi
I have a problem with ps3 finding a media server on my NAS.
The only way around it, that I find out about, is to go to the NAS setup, disable and then enable the UPnP AV Server (refresh button didn't do nothing), then it pop-ups in PS3 almost instantly.
I got both PS3 and DNS-321 wired to D-Link Dir-655 router with static IPs
Any help with this issue would be appreciated
Thanks

I have same issue from time to time, I found that waiting 5 to 10 minutes and then running the PS3's UPnP  search utility usually fixes it. If not, detach then reattach the PS3 to the network. If that doesn't work, I restart the PS3. I never had this problem last more than about 10 minutes or happen while actively using the UPnP server on the PS3. I've found that seeding torrents from the DNS-321 causes this error more often.

I have had the same problems with My DNS-323.  I find if something is more than 6 folders deep I can not open any further ( takes 3 folders just to get to the drive on the ps3).  If the files are moved the ps3 does not always recognize the move.  reboot of the ps3, DNS 323, and the router does not always fix this problem even when wired.  sometimes a day or two later the files will show up but it usualy takes a refresh of the upnp to get things recognized again. I do this about once a month, not practical but it is what has to be done to get it to work for now with firmware 1.09
