I tried to upgrade the firmware to 104 form 103. The browser interface timed out during the upgrade and the d-link didn't upgrade properly. Waited an hour without any luck. Tried to do a reboot and it wouldn't reboot either. The D-Link just loops now. I believe there isn't any firmware on the box anymore. Is there any way to put the firmware back?

Try removing any disks from the unit (make sure you mark them so you can keep order). Try booting it up a couple times like that. If you get it up flash the firmware again then re-insert your drives.

Unplugged the D-link and removed the drives plugged it back in I get the following messages on the display:
System is rebooting followed by the Large D-link logo followed by system restarting. It keeps repeating these three screens. I unplugged it several times and still get the same repeating messages.

Even though the Unit says rebooting have you tried checking if it is appearing on the network (via router list or ping).

Can only see my D-Link 323 using the easy search software. I checked under networking as well and can only see my D-Link 232. No 343. Not sure how to ping it I don't know the ip address.

I had no problems upgrading my DSN 343.
Just send it back for your warranty and keep your drives for a replacement unit.
Good luck. ;D

Not sure how to ping it I don't know the ip address.
Open your router firmware, there should be a page listing all attached devices along with their IP address. From there you should be able to ping your DNS-343.

Use SoftPerfect Network Scanner (http://www.softperfect.com/products/networkscanner/) to find if it can be seen on the network (and find the IP). It's freeware btw.
