Title: Wan connection gets slower until reboot
Post by: sharkbait on January 17, 2009, 09:27:13 PM
After a few hours of use the router gets slower and slower. My 5 mb connection will go down to 500k or lower. Restart the router and boom right back were it should be, with out touching the modem. Switch it out with my old router and it works perfect (which makes me wonder why I bought this). Any one know any thing about this?
Here are my specifics:
Moto SB5100 modem
Firmware 1.21 on the router
Test good (yes I have a cable tester)cat 6 cable between router and modem.

Any ideas would be awesome!
Thanks

Who is your ISP? Try locking the WAN port of the 655 to 10Mbps.

I have cableone.net. I will give that a try.

Thanks

Did you update your firmware to version 1.21 or was it preinstalled? If not preinstalled, try reflashing the router again with 1.21.
