Hi all,
I successfully used the fun_plug method to format WD 2T hdd. Then I installed a 1.5T disk along with the 2T disk, and formatted the 1.5T disk using the DNS-321 formatting tool (the tool clearly indicated a formatting disk was the 1.5T). But what happened was the 2T disk was also formatted and the 1.5T disk formatted for a smaller size of 500mb.
Is there any way I can restore data on the 2T disk?
(The disk was formatted to EXT3 type.)
Be careful using the formatting tool!!!
Thanks in advance.

There isn't any way to restore the data, unless you have a previous backup. I am not a drive guru, but my understanding is that the drive is wiped.
I have read that when formatting new drives, it's best to remove a drive with data that you want to keep, so the scenario you describe does not occur.
As far as the disk sizes go, I don't understand why the capacity would have been reduced that much.
if you have access to a linux machine (you could use Knoppix), you could try mounting the drives directly to see if your files are on the drive. I doubt they are, but it might be worth a shot.

Another reason to maintain at least one backup copy of your data.
