Title: Firmware development between different models
Post by: neurocid on April 02, 2011, 01:15:34 PM
Dns-323 has beta fw forums, where it is announced that 4k sector support is coming form that unit. http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=5485.0

Will this 4k alignment and other features also be ported for dns-320?

Im holding back my purchase because cannot choose between 320 and 323. I want full support for 2T AFT drives (alignment etc).

I know i can use Samsung F4 that support backward emulation for 512 bytes sectors, but as i know they suffer performance wise.

How much development effort is synced between units?

4k alignment is already supported in FW ver 2.0
