What ISP service do you have? DSL or Cable?
What ISP modem do you have? Built in router or stand alone modem?

How are you connecting to the 655? Wired or wireless?
If wireless, what modes are you using? Mixed?
Try single mode G to test.

Hi

I am using wired connection with  ATT Dsl service and i use a 5100 SpeedStream modem.I have just purchased a new modem to see if this is the problem. The modem is at least 9 years old.

Is the DSL modem a stand alone modem or does it have a built in router?
If it has a built in router, might need to bridge the modem.

I would check the logs of the 655 router at times when you see loss of internet. Might see something like PPPoE connection down or something to the effect of loss of internet. I presume the router is probably doing this thing and might be detecting loss of connectivity at the modem.
