Hello, I'm having a little problem here with forwarding ports.
Is there a way to open a port in DIR-855 permanently without actually always having to use a program to open it? I am trying to run a dedicated game server, which doesn't seem to do the trick for some reason for all the ports it needs. The ports are: 7011 - 7013, of which only 7011 opens.
Is there a way to, for example, disable port triggering and just use plain old port forwarding?
I didn't even know that something like port triggering existed before I actually noticed that canyouseeme.org only showed green light when the port I tried to forward was being used by some program.

Have you tried using those port number in Application or QoS?
Also what is your ISP service? DSL or Cable?
ISP modem a stand alone modem or does it have a built in router?

I've tried the port numbers in the Application Rules -section, but not in the QoS. Guess I'll try figuring that out too, then. :P
My ISP service is an ADSL service, and the modem has an inbuilt router. I've put the ISP-modem into a birdged state, so it shouldn't be blocking any of the traffic or ports that I'm trying to keep open.
So there is no actual way of DISABLING the port triggering and just using port forwarding instead?

As for port triggering, I presume that this feature would be disabled if you didn't use it and used just QoS or Port Forwarding options. Does your router have Port Triggering or Port Forwarding under Advanced?

Advanced has Port Forwarding, which for some reason only opens the ports when I am actually using them through programs. That's why I thought it would have something to do with port triggering. The port stays closed whenever a program isn't using it, but when I turn on a program that uses for example the port 7011, it opens according to canyouseeme.org.
The problem is that only that port, and not the two other ports I need open are opening.

OK, have you tried to put the other port in separately in there own rule? What happens if you disable 7011 temp. Does it open the other ports?

Yes, I've tried different rules and also disabling one and looking at the others. No change. Should they actually stay open permanently when opened from the Port forwarding section? ???

Thats a good question, I presume they should if there set in Port Forward and input correctly. Not fully sure if this is the case...it's possible they could close if there not being used.
