Title: WAN2 - DFL 800 - 5 fixed IP for wan 2- PPTP Server - Directaccess W2008 R2
Post by: jmbvink on April 07, 2011, 04:08:36 AM
Actually configured my DFL 800 wan2 as incoming of vpn clients at one of the fixed IP that I have in the ARP table (5 public fixed IP total) . Configured rules for direct internet traffic to wan1 for desktops and wan2 for servers (LAN side). All works.

WAN1 and WAN2 not configured in transparent mode.

How can I configure 2 fixed IP from WAN2 directly to W 2008 R2 in order to connect w7 client directly to the intranet domain  via windows Directaccess. I must put the 2 fixed IP on one of the w2008 R2 LAN card.

sorry for my bad English.  :-[

Ok, I give you a more detailed info:

WAN1 conected to SDSL Router with external IP SDSL Line
WAN2 conected to radio internet access with 5 fixed IP 109.xxx.xxx.224/29
WAN2 configured with IP 109.xxx.xxx.230
Gateway WAN2 IP 109.xxx.xxx.225
ARP table: 109.xxx.xxx.226 to 109.xxx.xxx.229 --> mode: PUBLISH

PPTP server for wan2 for external IP 109.xxx.xxx.226 (PUBLISH ARP table)

Routing and rules configured as the examples scenarios for WAN failover and pptp server for vpn clients.

VPN work good, internet acces work good.

Now I need configure one lan card of a W2008 R2 server with 2 public IP (109.xxx.xxx.227 / 109.xxx.xxx.228) for the new w2008 feature DIRECTACCESS and maybe transparent from internet directly.

Hoy must I configure WAN2 in order to assign directly this IP's to the physical server and pass trough DFL 800?

Thanks in advance

i if understand

you need a mixed setup using routing setup and transparent setup.

dont know if it possible do that, maybe using policy based routing its the way to get this setup, another way maybe using proxy arp.

if you try please share your experiences

that scenario sounds appropriate to use arp proxy functionality

take a look on this:
