Good morning all, i just bought a DFL-210 yesterday and i tried setting it up last night, long story short i had to log in via hyper terminal and reset the thing as it kept trying to give itself an IP and locked me out..
Basically i've been using ipcop for a few years now, and basically the DFL-210 does the same thing, bridged modem using PPOE
So i set it up wit the wizard, user name password like ipcop, everyone on the network get an ip assigned by the DHCP server on the firewall, but no one can use the Internet, when i go in the the log it says all fo these connections have been dropped by the firewall rules?
Can anyone help me?

DFL 210 its a firewall
it comes with all traffic denied except the basic rules
its necessary allow traffic creating according rules, specially if you create a new pppeo interface you have to allow navigation through a NAT rule from lan to pppoe interface
good luck
netdefend os its hard to manage at begin but later the friendly web gu makes the work easy

You should try out the sample configuration guides wich can be downloaded as pdf.
DFL-210 rocks for small business.
