Title: Copying data between the two drives
Post by: drchipster on April 17, 2011, 03:45:54 PM
My 2 drives are set up as individual disk (Standard) -- Volume_1 and Volume_2.  How do I copy data from one disk to another?  If I mount them as network drives on my PC then copy using Windows' copy & paste (I have Vista on my PC), it's EXTREMELY slow since the data has to go through the router.  Is there a faster way?  If I install fun_plug, does it allow me to log in to the box and do the direct copy from one disk without going through the network?
Thanks,

The DNS-321 firmware contains an option to schedule backups  between volumes within the DNS-321 without using network resources.  Open the firmware and select "Downloads" and see the "Scheduling" option.

Is this still the case?  I'm in firmware 1.03 and I can't find this option.  Could someone give me the exact steps from logging in to the web interface to the option to schedule transfer between the two drives?

The DNS-321 web interface login screen has two buttons "Configuration" and "Downloads".  Enter your login credentials and select "Downloads".  This area contains functionality to schedule backups.
