i recently powered down and unplugged my dns-323. all of my config settings were wiped to default and volume_1 was duplicated and now exists alongside volume_1-1.
thoughts?

it may be worth noting that the bittorrent client and the partially downloaded torrents remain intact, settings and all.
???
is this what happens when we unplug the box????

Not usually. I assume that there is a typical cell battery inside to retain the config. Perhaps it is worth popping the cover and replacing it. Also, save a copy of the configuraiton so that should it happen again you can perform a restore. If the unit is new, then RMA from the reseller or DLink.

I had the same issues....and yes there an internal battery very similar to what you will find for your PC BIOS. However, in my case, it turned out to be some type of hardware issue. Fortunately I discovered the issue early and the retailer replaced the unit (after trying to change the battery). Problem solved with the new unit. I have Version C1 now.
