Hi,
I have an DIR-655 A2 hardware version, my firmware version is 1.21, when i try to update the firmware my DIR-655 he accept the .bin file(1.32.B01 version on french site ) a message says update please wait(or something like that) after the reboot. the version is always 1.21.
Other problem, when i try to change an option the DIR-655 reboot but nothing change and the modification isn't took.
Best regards

Do a factory reset, then do the firmware update.. After update re-enter all settings manually. Going from 1.2X to a 1.3X firmware is a major update and there can be issues when using a saved config.

You do a factory reset by the menu of the DIR-655 or a special manipulation is needed ?
-
Either by the menu or reset button on back of the router. Both methods work.

Hello,
On the french site, just the latest version is available(we are bad :-[), do you think that the french firmware and american firmware are the same ?
-
NA and EU firmwares are not the same.

Hi Retis,
Is the current firmware version 1.21 written in English or French?
Also have you downloaded the version on the Web that you want to upgrade your Router with to your computer and unpacked it?

I just went through this painful process the other night. Here are the steps i took:
- Backup router config using the system utility
- Reset router using the external reset button (hold 30 seconds)
- Pull all LAN connections
- Insert your network cable into LAN port 1 (from laptop)
- Run the firmware upgrade
- After reboot check the firmware version
- If the firmware is correct, import your previous router settings with the System utility
- Plug everything back in
Done.
