Title: DIR-655 DNS Problem/Random Drop Internet
Post by: Bocko57 on April 27, 2011, 07:04:16 PM
Good Evening

I sure hope I do not jinx myself but here goes.  After a few modifications, I have been problem free for the past 3 hours.

Modifications:
Computer - Local Area Computer - unchecked IPv6
Router - Wireless: Channel Width 20/40 Auto; 802.11 mixed n, g, b;
Internet Settings - Dynamic IP, Enable ADV DNS Service is NOT checked;
Network Settings - Enable DNS Relay is checked;
WAN PORT SPEED - 10/100/1000 Auto;
Firewall Settings - Enable SPI is checked, UDP and TCP are set to End Point Independent;
QOS settings are NOT modified;
Enable Multicast Streams is checked.

And the time it took to write this up, I am still problem free.  :)

I believe these are all the modifications I made.  Also, the Globe on the router is finally blinking so I think I am on the right path (keeping fingers crossed).

Good Luck to the rest of you and I hope things start working for you too.

Might try changing the WiFi from Mixed all to single mode G or Mixed G and N.

Should all this work for you. Save off your config to file and send to some others on here using this router and see if it might help them. Might help others in trouble shooting.
