Title: CD Install disconnects Network Adapter
Post by: cciarleg on April 28, 2011, 02:59:30 PM
Hi,

I am trying to install the software for my router (on a Windows Vista Laptop) and everytime I get to the software install and it is detecting the network-and then the program freezes and my wireless adapter is turned off.  I have to force quit the program and turn the adapter back on.

has anyone heard of this of have a suggestion of what the issue may be?  seems a very odd thing.

Thanks,

Connie

You don't need the CD to do the setup.  There is no software needed to do the setup.  The way to setup a new router is to do it WIRED to the router, login to the admin pages and do your setup there.  The initial configuration of the router should ALWAYS be done from a wired computer.  You can still use the CD but you don't have too, just make sure you do it from a wired PC.
