Title: DFL-260 ignoring to block badoo.com
Post by: charlievm on April 29, 2011, 03:42:06 PM
Hello
I have several webpages blocked in the ALG in the URL Filter, like facebook, youtube, farmville and many many more, the Forbidden sign shows OK to anyone who wants to access them.
The problem is that I have badoo.com in the blacklist and it does not block it. the first time you open a browser and type the webpage it shows 'access denied' in the browser tab for a second and then shows the webpage just fine, the firewall does not block it.
I have added IP addresses linked to badoo to the blacklist and still the same result
Anybody knows what's going on and solve this.
Thank you so much.

No issue with blocking badoo.com with url filter.
Be sure to not allowed overwriting once the site is blocked.

thank you

Chechito: thanks for the tip of opendns, I've tried it and it works good but I don't like the idea of paying for this service for more than 20 users since the DFL-260 should do the job

Silver_Surf: I do not understand what you mean by 'Be sure to not allowed overwriting'

There is an option in the WCF module which allow  to overwrite a blocked site.
If it is checked then the user can overwrite the blocked website.
