Hey
I have several ports opened on my DIR-655 A3, pointing to specific ports on a NAS server i have on my network.
However, suddenly, they're not opened anymore....
I've already try this:
- Reboot the router
- Erase all Virtual Server Settings and try open only one port
- Re-flash the router with latest European firmware - 1.34b05EU
- ....
I don't know what to do anymore...
Anyone have a clue on whats happening here??
thx
These are my settings

Have you set up DHCP (static) reserved IP addresses for all Devices on the router?
Ensure devices are set up for auto obtain IP addressing.
Ensure DNS Relay is ON.
Disable Advanced DNS Services.
uPnP enabled?

- Yes, all devices have a DHCP reserved IP
Ensure devices are set up for auto obtain IP addressing.
- It is. The problem is on WAN --> LAN, over LAN --> LAN everything is fine.
Ensure DNS Relay is ON.
- Is ON
Disable Advanced DNS Services.
- Where is that??
uPnP enabled?
- Yes

Disable Advanced DNS Services is under Setup/Internet/Manual if you have that settings.
Also ensure that ISP DNS addressing is being filled in under same section.

- I don't have that option... probably because router is on 'Dynamic IP (DHCP) mode'.

- Yes, DNS server fields are filled

No it's not becuase of dhcp mode, I forgot you have and EU router. I think that it's possible that EU routers don't have the Advanced DNS Service option. Thats ok.
I presume that if it had worked before and suddenly it doesn't I would presume that something might have changed in the WAN side possibly?

No, i've added a new Virtual Server entry, and after i save, all the Virtual Server open ports (the new and the older ones) stay closed...

Is it possible they need to be triggered to open up?

What ISP modem do you have?
Check out the Motorola SB 6120. Great modem.
Glad you found the fix.

It's a Netgear CBVG834g MTA with a opened DMZ to D-Link and all router/switch capabilities disabled...
I can't change it, here in Portugal we have to use the ISP equipment..
