Title: Can I remove BT?
Post by: FastM on January 21, 2009, 03:42:33 PM
So I upgraded to Firmware v1.06 to finally delete the couple torrents I downloaded when 1.05 first came out.

Now i want to remove anything to do with the BT client for good but the BT folder on the root is giving access denied when i try to delete it.

I just want the stupid BT client gone. someone?

From ttmcmurry's post:

After spending way too much time on this and finding several failed solutions, I finally found a way to get rid of the Bittorrent client:

**These instructions assume you have ffp 0.5 correctly installed**

1)  login as root
2)  cd to /mnt/HD_a2 -or- /mnt/HD_a4  (depending on your setup)
3)  type "rm -rf /Nas_Prog"
4)  type "ls -l" to see if the folder deleted
5)  reboot the 323
6)  log into the download area of the gui
7)  click on the bittorrent tab, you should receive a message stating "to install bittorrent..."

Thanks!  I was going nuts!  This is exactly what I have been trying to do for 2 days now.
Now, I will be removing all the crap that got installed when I downloaded some packages to be installed...major clean up required  :D

Thanks for saving my sanity
