I did a lot of searching but maybe the search strings I entered didn't hit the posts on this topic. I'm just wondering what the heck is different between DNS-343 Rev.A and DNS-343 Rev.B?

I was wondering about this myself. Both revisions leverage the same firmware and there's been no word of any functionality difference. This is pure speculation, but the delta could be due to different manufacturing facilities or upgraded components with the same functional specs.
. . . D-Link will have to respond to get a definitive answer.

A.H/W change from A1 to B1:
1.Change power adapter : 7.89A to 4.74A
2.Change OLED Component.
B. Backup Software changes from FarStone's DriveClone Pro 5 to DriveClone Pro 7
C. Packing material change:
a. Change GB
US : v1.10(B) to v1.20(B):Size change to 27cm*24cm*25cm
b. Change QIG
US: v1.4(B) to v1.5(B)
c. Change CD
US : v1.2(B) to 1.3(B)
Main change is bold above. The A1 uses a much larger power brick than the B1 essentially.
