Title: Bug in email settings
Post by: Waves on May 29, 2011, 05:14:30 AM
Router does not accept any email addreses that start with a number. For example, if you want to set email address 1abcd@efg.com in the from field you will receive the following error: The given FROM address (1abcd@efg.com) is invalid. Same error if you use it in the to field.
HW ver. A4 running firmware 1.35NA.

does it work with a alpha character in the beginning?
What email address are you setting up on the router? Logs?

I tried with all 0 to 9 numbers as the first character and the router doesn't let me save the config and nothing shows up in the log. It works just fine if the email address starts with an alpha character. This should be really easy to replicate in the lab.

sounds like you might need to set up a email starting with an alpha character.

I got that part but Dlink should fix this big in the next release.
