I'm using the DNS-320 as a data server in my office. I set up everything and it is working fine within my network (win 7 machines, mapped the folders).
The problem is in trying to connect to the server from home. I have a dyndns account (free), I enabled dyndns in the DNS-320 settings (it says it connects), I forwarded ports 20 and 21 (router is a Thomson 780) and pointed them to the DNS-320 (it has a static IP in the network), I also enabled FTP on the NAS...
however when I try to map the drive from home (\\myname.dyndns.org\Volume_1), it takes forever and in the end it comes up with an error
any ideas?

You can not simply 'mount a drive' remotely using samba. Your only option for remote accessibility is to connect via FTP or in next version we will allow WebDAV.
