Title: Q About Interface PC With Router Minus Modem...
Post by: 2AtTheBus on January 22, 2009, 05:07:58 PM
Maybe a 'Duh' Question...  ::)

Have read posts about re-flashing the router by disconnecting all but PC to router...

When we do this, the web-based interface is not accessible - need explanation how to access the router without modem... ?   :-\

Please ensure your PC is set to obtain an IP address automatically. Then try to renew your IP via command prompt.

If that doesn't work, try to reset the router by holding down the reset button located in the back for 15 seconds and repeat the steps above.

And if that still doesn't work.. static enter in an IP address for your PC and try to access the router.

For example:
PC: 192.168.0.X (X= any number from 2-254)
Router IP: 192.168.0.1 (By default)

Connect an ethernet cable to port 1 on the dgl-4500 and to the back of your pc. Power the router on, wait a few mins, then open your bowser and login.
