How do you access folders and drives from Ubuntu? Can someone tell how I can do this?
-
uhhh - point & click ?
Find Places on the menu and then look for Network Servers and navigate your way to the device, the share, the folder and the file you need.

Works fine, just click on network.

I followed the instructions here by clicking:
Places;
Network;
Windows Network;
NAS;
and I keep getting this error:
Unable to mount location
Failed to retrieve share list from server
What am i missing here? (well, Im really new to Ubuntu 8.10 so forgive me for the noob question)

I have no trouble using Ubuntu 8.10 with the DNS-323. Pointy-and-Clicky makes mouse Happy...

I could not access either from Ubuntu 8.10 and this post in Ubuntu forums solved the problem:

Did you guys simply have the root of the drive shared with ALL access and no password setup on the 323?
(i.e. out-of-the-box configuration)
