I bought a DNS-320 some days ago.
After copy my files to the NAS i configure my outlook 2007 to get the PST file from a share of the DNS-320. Outlook opens the file without problems, but when it needs to save something to it, outlook gives a message saying that it's not a personal folders file and the PST file became corrupted with 0Kb in size.
The same problem occurs when creating a new profile with a new (blank) PST file (stored on the DNS-320).
I have exactly the same PST files working without any problem in another EXT3 NAS (from another brand).
How can i solve this problem ?
Thanks and forgive for my bad english !

I believe you need to tick "oplocks" when creating the share?

Thank you for your quick answer, hoppo1.
Tried that (with a new share) but the same behavior happens with oplocks on or off !
I don't know if it has something to do with it, but in my old NAS (working well) the file attribute has a "P" attribute, and in D-Link it has only "A" attribute.

Can anyone tell me if has this working with no problem ?
- Office 2007 with the PST file stored in a DNS-320 share

SOLVED !!!
Some kind of problem in the official firmware 2.01 beta.
Downgraded to 2.00 firmware and everything is OK now !
Thanks !

Might be worth posting issue on the beta firmware forum.

The above symptoms are exactly what I am experiencing with a brand new DNS-320. I have lost all my January and February 2012 email. I have just updated the firmware to 2.02, but at the same time I have moved my shared pst to another machine.
Does anyone know what the root cause of the issue is, and is it solved in 2.02? Until then, I'm tired of losing my email.

AFAIK, firmware version above 2.00 doesn't allow downgrading so my question is how did you manage to downgrade?
