Title: connecting to Seagate 3 gig dir-825

I have a Seagate FA GoFlex Desk 3tb drive attached to my shareport utility on my dir-825.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. The same goes on a Win XP computer and a windows 7.
Sometimes it will connect and not show up and take a long time to disconnect. Sometimes it will connect and work fine, usually if I have successfully used it recently. Sometimes it will not connect at all. I have no problem with the drive showing up in the shareport utility.

Ideas??
