Title: How do I controll upload and download speed?
Post by: lee_sehyuk on July 02, 2011, 01:34:40 PM
I have 1 cable internet line connected to this router and I have 3 computers and 2 smartphones and 1 Ipad connected to it.

So I want to control the download and upload speed respectively.
For example, I want to assign 500kb/s of download speed on Computer 1, 200kb/s of download speed and 50kb/s of upload speed on Compter 2, and 1Mb/s of download speed and 200kb/s of upload speed on Computer 3.

where can I find this function on set up? is it QOs in advanced setting?

I think this router doesn't support bandwidth or speed throttling. QoS can be set so that each devices gets good internet service if all are online at the same time.

This router does not support that, you hav to buy an advange roter like draytek.

I prefer DD-WRT @ http://www.dd-wrt.com myself.

Take a look at their database for models that work.

Works great on my old Linksys WRT54GS v6.
