Title: Adding 2nd drive - will format 1st drive? [JBOD]

I'm finally adding a second drive to my DNS-321 running in JBOD, but I want to make sure before I do that it won't format both drives.  Just the new one, right?  How can I ensure it won't format the original drive when I add the new one?
