I'm having problems every so often, and I dont see anyone else having this issue. When I'm downloading, every so often the router will stop all traffic. Then after about a minute, it seems to be fine again. I put on 1.35NA because I thought that might help, but it didn't. I have Comcast for internet too.

Ensure DNS IP addresses are being filled in under Setup/Internet/Manual?
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices on the router.
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP.
What wireless modes are you using?
Try single mode G or mixed G and N?
What security mode are you using? WEP, WPA or WPA2? Preferred is WPA2.
What wireless devices do you have connected?
Any cordless house phones?
Any other WiFi routers in the area?
Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on PC while testing.
Turn off all devices accept for one wired PC while testing.
Any router log entries during this time frame?
-

Ya, Primary and 2ndary DNS should be filled in. You can find this under Status, Device Info, Wan section.

What about the mac address, do I leave it at zero's or click on clone to my pc?
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option. Its off
Try single mode G or mixed G and N? Its now set to mixed G and N
-
Leave the Mac address zero'd for now. Shouldn't need to clone anything.
Keep us posted.

Will do, so far all is well. Some days it all works good though. I will let you know:)

Just a quick update, that all seems well so far:) Thank you again for the help!!

Good to hear. Save off the configuration of the router to file for future use and back up.
Tools/System.

I was talking on the phone(Vontage) yesterday, with utorrent running and it shut down on me...... I have had it restart on me before with p2p software running. Do I just need a business router, rather than a home one?
-
Are we not able to talk about p2p software? Or has this been covered, and I didnt see it? If it has, can someone point me to the area please;) Thank you!

I have the port set up, but I havent seen the other link! Thank you for that!!:)
-
I'm reading on a few forums, and some say that its all in the router and what it can handle? The router home users have really are not able to handle so many connections? Would a business router be more useful for this?
-
Probably specially if your have numerous connections and connected devices.
-
Do you have any recommendations?
-
I think DLink has a DSR or DSN-500.

Might call up Dlink and see what else they have.
-
I like the DSR-500N. I can seem to find anything on the memory it has, or how many connections it can handle? Do you think this would be good for this type of situation?
-
Call Dlink and ask..
