I notice there is no logical way to change the BT folder path to a different location...It always stores it in root as "BT". I notice there is a btsettings.txt file in the "Nas_Prog" directory but it is worthless attempting to modify the folder information in this text file since each time you use bt it will reset it back to root "BT".
Is there ANY way to modify the location of bt...because having it in root is quite ugly.

Hello,
Replying to this post in the hopes that someone can provide an answer as I would also like to
point the bittorrent client to another folder path for downloads.
Thanks,

You can remove the directory, then create a symbolic link in the same location that points to an actual directory in another location of your choosing. This would of course require telnet access and if you are going to do that, you may as well just replace the supplied client with Tranmission which is infinitely better and uses fewer system resources.

So if I change to Tranmission will all my current torrents still be active or will I have to add them all again? Also is it hard to install it?
At the moment I can add/stop/remove torrents remotely, will I still be able to do this with Tranmission?
Thanks for any feedback

Check out the transmission web site. It's about 3 commands to install it. Install the remote GUI for uTorrent-like functions/feature and Automatic for RSS parsing.
