Okay, so I setup gamefuel the way the sticky said to and did all the suggested things below. I was wondering if you still have to do rules with just one xbox and what would they be? I am still kinda confused about it . Please help, I need to know how to not lag in black ops. Its killing me so much that i might just throw this piece of garbage away

Are other games lagging?
What HW version is your router?
What Game console do you have? XB or PS?
What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What model ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router?
Ensure DNS IP addresses are being filled in under Basic/Internet/Manual?
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices on the router.
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP.
How are you connecting? Wired or Wireless? For gaming it's preferred wired (cat6 or cat5e) however single mode G or N works well for gaming.
What wireless modes are you using?
Try single mode G or N at 2.4Ghz?
What security mode are you using? WEP, WPA or WPA2? Preferred is WPA2.
What wireless devices do you have connected?
Any cordless house phones?
Any other WiFi routers in the area?
And just know that gamefuel and routers can't prevent ALL game lag, as mentioned in the XBL sticky, there will be other circumstances that produce lag.
Let us know. Maybe we can teamviewer.com in and help make sure the router is set up well.

Well all the other cod games are lagging. Its the hit registration that lags. I will put 8 bullets in a guy while another puts in three and gets the kill. I just wanna know how to decrease the bullet lag. I have folloed your sticky gamefuel and i was wondering what the rules would be with one xbox. I have cable with comcast and i get around 15 mbps download and 5 upload with 30 ping. I am wired to the xbox with a cat5e cable and i tried g and g and n only none perform any better. Plus i have just two laptops connected and the 360. Please help

Are you gaming while others are on line and surfing or streaming?
I can look at your settings for you and check.
Need to make sure All devices are set to auto obtain an IP address while the router should be set up to reserve IP addresses for the devices.
What ISP modem do you have? Model?

goto teamviewer.com and download this program. You can just run it or install it. PM me the ID and password.

Also, What HW version is this router and FW version is currently loaded? Forgot to ask that.

It would be interesting to know if you find anything Furry. I've experienced this about 90% of the time I spend on Black Ops. I went to the Black Ops forum and there's quite a few threads complaining about it. No fixes on there though.

Are you using the sticky for XBL? Thats what I use and my system works well. Ya I still see Lag however thats not coming from me or my HW. Lag will be there I think regardless of what we do as users to ensure our systems are working well. I was playing last nite and there was several games with lag and new host migrations.

I am shock, why not give Xbox live users dedicated severs? Also not close the servers for old games. I mean you are paying Microsoft for their online service aren't you not? IMO.
