I have some network experience but not a lot so here is my problem.
I have a zyxel q1000z from qwest that i want to bridge to my dir 655.
I go through the settings to put their router/modem to bridge mode. This units default ip is
the same as tslinkink, 192.168.0.1 so i change the d-link to 192.168.0.2. I then go into the dlink and
enter my isp's pppoe settings and password. I reboot when i am done but can't connect to the internet.
It shows connected but thats it. What info am i missing or what have i done wrong? I want to use the d-link as the only router as the zyxel has very few settings and has slowed down my netflix.
Thanks in advance.

It's preferred to bridge the ISP modem, presuming this modem is a DSL modem with built in router. Once you bridge the DSL modem, it effectively shuts off the internal router and WiFi. So you really don't need to use it's WiFi to bridge to the 655. You'll need to use the PPPoE information on the 655 to set up the Internet Connection. After you do this, power off everything, turn on the DSL modem and let it sync, then power on the 655 router. Should have internet after that.

what's the IP that you are getting when youre computer is connected to the modem??
if the IP is 192.168.0.X, you need the change the IP of the router to 192.168.X.1 and just the Internet connection type DHCP but if the IP of the PC is 169.254.X.X the set the the Internet connection type to PPPoE
