Title: giving my servers external static ip addresses
Post by: amicheals on August 01, 2011, 09:27:12 PM
Hi,
I have two servers and 5 static ip addresses. I want to use two of my static ip address for my two servers. Can I program the router to forward all traffic from a static ip address to an internal ip address? The reason I want this is because I want to be able to access my internal servers externally without having to put them outside the router.

Thanks

Amy

In short no, the DGL-4500 can only use one WAN IP address with it's 1:1 NAT. I think your looking for a capability typically found in commercial grade hardware. Might want to see what Cisco or Sonicwall has to offer.
