Title: What are symptoms of a router being dead?
Post by: kevinla on January 30, 2009, 06:06:18 PM
I have owned a DIR-655 for the past year and a half.  The past two days our internet speeds have been slow.  I unplugged both the router and modem, but we still have the problem.

Would resetting the router possibly help?

I get that reboots are free, but there is some work involved.

If there is no point, am not going to bother.

Backup your settings and restart back to factory defaults. But sometimes old settings get corrupted. I've seen this happen with other brands. I wonder what's the life on this router. I was hoping for 3 years.
