Hey all,
Has anyone taken to time to figure a good remote Wake on LAN solution for this router? I'd like a webpage with a listing of the PC's that I can wake up.
I come from a IPCOP & Linksys WRT54G w/ DD-WRT and looking for some ideas. I can program, have a webserver running now just seeing if anyone knows a way I can logon to a page and fire up my PC's??
I have found programs, but that involves actually logging into a computer.
Have any ideas, please reply
Thanks,
~Aaron

I finally got it figured out.... not simple and involves running a web server. BUT there are a few ways of doing this.
http://www.depicus.com/wake-on-lan/woli.aspx (http://www.depicus.com/wake-on-lan/woli.aspx)
Is a GREAT site!!
I chose the WOL over the internet one. It didn't work for me right off of his page, but at the button you can download it.. spent hours and got it to my site.
Hints
-Add Virtual server rules in DIR-825 for Wake-On-LAN... i have multiple computers I want woken up so I did:
Name:Wake-On-LAN1....2...3
IP Addy:192.168.0.100....101...102
Public: 4000... 4001...4002 created a random port to open for WOL
Private: 9 (they are all set to 9)
Traffic type:UDP & 17
Using the guys WOL ASPX code... I found a lot of ways that may work
I just used a:
Subnet of 0.0.0.0
Port 4000... 4001 ..4002 depending on which machine
MAC addy: the MAC off the card
IP Address: DOMAIN NAMES DON'T WORK, will return an error and I didn't want a dynamic IP, so I used an local IP.... 192.168.0.100 192.168.0.101 etc
Enjoy... I miss IPCOP (had to add a plug-in) but hated the idea of having another P4 computer running 24/7... when this new router seems to do it all! SharePort works awesome for 4 computers sharing a laser printer!
