Title: How do you setup a Home network?

Ok.. im worken with Ubuntu 8.04
..and i can connect to the internet.. and all... just im trying to set up a wireless network.. for my laptop
but when i go to use the setup (EBR2310.exe)... i click install router.. it gets to where its checking my internet connection.. and it freezes... is there a solution.. to set up a wireless network?
