Title: How to protect 1 drive from being accessed?
Post by: matt321 on August 12, 2011, 01:03:37 PM
Hi

I have two drives in my DNS323. Volume_1 (right) and Volume_2 (left).

I have setup Volume_1 as the root directory to stream UPnP.

How can I secure the other drive Volume_2 to never be accessed via network with the exception of one computer. It's a backup drive that I only access from my computer but don't want others to view the data if they connect to my LAN. Is this possible?

Appreciate any help, thank you.

Hmmm...I'm interested in this as well.  I think it can be done through your computer and some type of folder security, but not 100% sure.

Any D-Link employees on this forum?

Would really appreciate your feedback regarding the above inquiry.

Is it not possible to secure a drive on the DNS-323?

Please advise. Thank you!

Create 2 users accounts. One has access, one does not.
