Title: Windows 7
Post by: holic on February 02, 2009, 04:31:48 PM
Is there any way to get the DIR-655 to work with win7?
I'd love to start using the win7 beta fully.

It's not detected. I figured since Vista and 7 have a similar driver models that it would work.
Turns out I was wrong.

7 and Vista work for me. You sure it's not your network card drivers you need?

No problems with Windows 7 Beta 1 or Pre-Beta.  Drivers are available for my WNIC the Intel 4965AGN adapter.

Pretty much as long as your WNIC has WHQL-Certified drivers for Vista, it will work on 7.  Make sure you download the appropriate 32 or 64 bit driver depending on which edition of 7 you're installing.

Vista drivers for your NIC should work with Windows 7 beta.

Have you enabled UPnP on the router? If you do windows 7 will pick it up.
