You may want to try the non-DLink branded version of shareport http://www.silexamerica.com/support/software/svl.html (http://www.silexamerica.com/support/software/svl.html).
Found this in this "Shareport Help" thread (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=16385.msg130454#msg130454 (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=16385.msg130454#msg130454)). I am about to try it on my 2011 MBP running 10.7.2. Will report back with details.

Any luck there to get this to work?

I phoned DLink Canada and they told me that Shareport doesn't work for the DR-826L on the MAC with Mountain Lion and I should map my USB hard drive as smb://192.168.0.1/usb_A1. Not sure how it would work with a printer. (To map a drive while in Finder press Command-K)
Good Luck
PS Shareport works fine on my ipad and phone accessing any external drive or memory stick I have tried.

USB printing with the DIR-826L is officially not supported at this time. Only USB HDD and flash drives are.
For users with USB printer, I highly recommend getting a D-Link DPR print server adapter that will take a USB printer and put it on a LAN network connection. Simple solution for that and then you won't need Shareport for any print operations.
