Title: Setting up 2 DNS-321
Post by: Jaylo222 on February 03, 2009, 05:57:48 AM
I'm considering setting up a second 321 to use primarily as a media or file server to be accessed by the family while keeping the first 321 secure as a home office backup device.  Are there any issues I should be aware of?

I was just thinking of doing the same thing. I want to have one for web server and the other for backing up all the Mac's on the network. And tigerdirect.com has them for 99 bucks cheeper than I bought mine there two week ago by 40 dollars.

No there should be nothing odd about having two DNS-321's on your network everything should work fine.

Why should you have issues? You shouldn't have issues unless you set both to static ip using the same IP address.  I have two NAS (323 and 321) on the same network without a problem.
