WOW, I just bought 10. LOL. Thats a great deal man...I'd encourage anyone to get one if they can. upgrade from an older one to this. ;)
-
Tiger Direct has it also listed at the same price.
-
I picked it up for $91 at tigerdirect.ca about 2 weeks ago, Stupid Canadian pricing !!!!!!!
-
I paid 145 from Newgg a couple weeks ago. DOH. They had the sale for 80$ but I missed the sale between the time I put it in Carrage and checking out. Newegg did give me a 25$ credit though..so that's cool. And it was my stupidly. Oh well.
-
I paid over $200 for mine back in the day. Just picked up another for $82.46 from CompUSA. ;D
-
Harry, send it back! Newegg will take it back or ask them to refund you the difference (match price).
I'm with Furry, but I think I paid $92 because of tax.
-
The 82.46 was the grand total for me. Tax was like 4 or 5 and shipping was 3. ::)

I wonder if they're affiliated with CompUSA because I saw both their names on the webpage when I purchased. Hmmmm......
-
Tiger Direct Purchased CompUSA. Well, the name, online business, and a handful of stores anyway.

So, it will sit in the box, unopened. ;D

-
Wow, I see the price went up some on only available in store for the OP link. :o
-
I saw that it was the 2nd best selling router there as of late. Haven't checked to see if that was still the case, though.
I wonder if that's why they upped the price $20?
-
BTW, DGL-4500 is back down to 89$ on Newegg. Just use coupon code EMCKAGK67
-

I told my bro about this router and instead of calling me to find out the model number again, he goes and buys a new linksys at Best buy. Well atleast he has open NAT now on XBL so the router must be doing something right. Before he was always moderate.
-
::) Some peoples Bros man. LOL. Well hope it's working good for him.

I think recent compatibility updates with PS3 and Xbox have made it to UPnP works alot better. Port forwarding isn't required as much for Open NAT. The real test of any router though is if someone can start a download without causing a hefty lag spike in the game.
-
haha, Furry, tell me about it I was thinking seriously? you didn't take my advise and get the D-link? Thanks bro. :D
Harry,
Very true, he has two Xbox's and one PS3. He had some Dell router before, I tried playing around with the settings but still could not get an open NAT. I forgot what Linksys model number he bought but I am pretty sure it is on MS certified list which if the router is listed on there, you should have open NAT's out of the box.
He usually plays GOW horde mode so I don't think that game suffers from lag compared to a COD title. However he has made mention of connection issue so hopefully that is resolved. He runs all his consoles on wireless.
Wow way off topic, sorry guys!
-
XS, I'm glad he got an open NAT. That can be very frustrating. I have a Linksys E2000 that I can't get open NATs on 2 wireless XBOXes but will with the 3rd wired one. The newer Linksys seem to adjust for that automatically. Did he get the E4200? Please tell me 'no' because you can get a refurb from Linksys for about $120 with shipping. Even less in certain states (due to tax charges).
Guys, this thread is dedicated to our beloved router. As such, I must police this thread and leave it dedicated to great deals. :P
-
No he bought the E2500, he now has four bars for wireless strength on both Xbox's.
I agree about keeping this thread dedicated to DGL-4500 but I did not want ignore your question.

Have you used yours lately? I haven't used mine in a year, probably. I should throw it on for nostalgia's sake. :)
-
Haven't...used one as a AP recently...focusing on the 826L and DGL-5500 now...
-
You can also trade them in to Amazon.com/tradein for about $65.00
I'm still pushing feedback to Amazon to raise the value for the DGL-4300. :) The 4100 was at $35 the other day. I emailed them and said the 4300 is the wireless version, it should be worth more. :) Sadly, they haven't raised it. :o
-
Maybe true and the DGL series is still a good series, however it's hard to complete with newer routers that do much more now and is about the same price new vs used. :-\ I still have an un-opned 4500 sitting in my closet. ;D
