I use to have this all set up and then I got a new cable modem and Comcast in their great wisdom reset my D-Link to factory. So I lost my settings and don't know what to do to get them back. I want to remote into my server via my vpn, and use the wireless just as an access point. I have partial directions on setting this up:
UNCheck SPI firewall settings, advance tab on top
Go to network settings, enable DHCP, uncheck this.
Add forced address: 10.0.0.101
However, when I do this, it doesn't allow me to remote into the server. What am I missing on this? I know the comcast nerd did not reset my vpn settings because I have all the dyndns stuff in that.
It seems like there is something in one of the other menu's I'm missing but because of my limited understanding of this mess,I can't figure it out.
It use to work just fine so I know this will work with my vpn I just have to get the settings right on the router.

Ok first, go to your IT and get a complete set of directions for your VPN. I assume they orginally helped you set it up?
Second, what exactly did the Comcast Tech do and why? How would he factory reset you router and still retain some settings? And what kind of modem did he put in? Why would he even need to do a factory reset? Any info you have on that end would also be helpful.

Have you tried to do a port forwarding on the router?? but you need to have the correct TCP and UDP port for your VPN connection from your IT admin
