Title: Does 825 support WDS
Post by: Earl H on February 04, 2009, 07:41:02 PM
I just purchased a trendnet N - upgrader to use a bridge for my PS3.  After rec. from newegg I learned that my router must support WDS to utilize the bridge functionality...and WPS doesn't work.  Does anyone know if the 825 supports WDS?  If so, where can I find the enable/disable settings?  Btw, I searched and found nothing.

Well I searched also.  Specifically I looked through the comprehensive review on smallnetbuilder  http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/content/view/30588/96/ (http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/content/view/30588/96/)and in the manual.  I don't see any mention of WDS so I would say that it doesn't appear to support WDS.

Yeah, I was afraid of that.  Based on that, I am wondering how it "bridges" or communicates with the DAP-1522, which is working quite well.  I dont look forward to having to shell out another $100, when a $25 Trendnet device will do.

WDS has been removed from all current home class product lines.
