Well, I had an unfortunate incident with my power supply connector and my original 4500. It looks like it's got a short in it. If I wiggle the plug it loses power.
Luckily, I bought this one locally and purchased a 3 year warranty (which I normally don't do). So tomorrow, I'm off to Fry's, receipt in hand for an exchange. I'm glad I had that one from the CompUSA/TigerDirect deal ready to go for my backup.

And what was this incident you had with the 4500? Hmmm.

Too much unplugging and plugging back in, I guess! I really wasn't that tough on it.

Bummer!!!
They're not selling our DGL-4500 at any of the Fry's stores anymore!
I had to replace it with a Netgear WNDR4500 (N900) but I can't find any link to it online. Weird!

I would have broke in and replaced the connector...

I thought about that at home but I was put on the spot at the store.

Darn, should have told you to send it to me. Sorry man. :'(

I would ask if you could get it back however probably not a big deal..suppose the NG will be good for back up.

I still have the one from that TigerDirect/CompUSA deal, bro. It's all good. I'll just be extra careful about plugging and unplugging it.
