Title: Using dlink Router with Samsung Galaxy Tab
Post by: sunwest on September 14, 2011, 11:07:45 AM
I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet and I'm having trouble getting the router to recognize the device.

I reset the router and programmed new password, security key, etc. The device, Galaxy, indicates the network is available but I can't get it to unlock. It's secured with WPA/WPA2, and it refuses to unlock the security.

Any ideas?

What wireless modes are you using?
Try single mode G or mixed G and N?
What does the Tab support?

What security mode are you using? WEP, WPA or WPA2? Preferred is WPA-Personal. WPA2/Auto TPIK and AES.

Be sure to set up a new SSID name and change from dlink to something else, can be anything as there might be other dlink routers near by.

The lock will always show if a wireless connection is secured...

What you just need to do is just make ur typing the correct security key that is set you to the router....=)
