Title: Telus E372 with DIR-412
Post by: rviebrock on September 19, 2011, 07:52:12 AM
I run the Telus Huawei E372 with my DIR-412. I know the E372 is not supported but it works....until the last update. Huawei issued an update for the connection manager. Went from version 21.003.27.05.464 to 21.003.27.09.464. Since this update which is a self extracting set of files on the stick, the router does not recognize it.

Before I would go to the router and do a internet wizard connection and it worked fine. Now it doesnt recognize that the stick is there. Tried manual set up with no luck.

Is there a North American firmware 1.10 beta? I am running 1.09 currently.

Dlink has stated that:

"Unfortunately, there are no current plans to implement the model in question.  The below devices are currently supported.

Telus
Sierra Wireless Compass 597
Sierra Wireless 306
Huawei E182E

Thank you for networking with D-Link."

I have the files that I need to be on the stick, but it is write protected so I can't copy them.

Anyone have solutions? Dlink 412 setup settings that solve this problem?

Thanks

the e372 Telus mobile2wifi.co.uk  is fastest but no WIFI function, may be the e586 mobile wifi is suitable, cant not reach 42Mbps, but up to 21Mbps, also support 5 device the same time.

Why does the sale page for this router say that it supports rogers devices as well? im sure hoping the cs-18 is supported by this router.

Anyone have a list of internet sticks that are now supported?

thanks
