I don't know where to start with how to set this up for my osx.. I'm trying to get it working for my xbox 360 does any1 have any tips or somethin that can help me with this?

connect LAN and WAN ethernet cables, turn power on and go....
There is no special OSX configuration AFAIK.
Or do you want to know how to setup your Xbox?

Actually, to get OSX working right I had to turn on multicast support.
Though if you don't need to be able to connect to other local network computers though apple filesharing I suppose you shouldn't need to.
OSX was also suffering from the DNS relay problems badly (in every version of the firmware that my A4 version would accept).
Also until I updated to the latest beta (where DNS relay seems to work), I either had to set static DNS servers in the network setup of OSX, or make sure that the two DNS servers that the 655 sent with DHCP addresses were valid AND different from each other. Otherwise OSX seemed to get somewhat confused trying to use '0.0.0.0' as a DNS server, and obviously had problems if the DNS servers couldn't be contacted.

ahh sounds very confusin..ill try and figure it out tho.. right now I can't even connect to my network using my macbook or iphone.. i can enter the password but i cant hit "join" or enter to join the actual network..
So from reading your statement I should update to the latest beta firmware.. and set static DNS servers? I'm a little confused with the 2nd part but hopefully u can make it clearer :p I never had to deal with networks til now so don't know much

You may be able to flash your 655 with the 1.11 firmware, which would take care of nearly all of the reliability issues you're having. If you need stability more than you need cutting-edge features, it would be a great way to go. In other words, don't think of it as a "downgrade" if a particular edition of firmware meets your needs, despite its age.
Regarding your XBOX, take a look at your router's setup, and locate its DHCP range setting (http://192.168.0.1 -> login -> Setup -> Network Settings -> DHCP IP Address Range). If you've never changed it, the setting should be 192.168.0.100-192.168.0.199. On the XBOX, set it to an IP address OUTSIDE that range (e.g. 192.168.0.10 subnet 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.0.1).
Also check the router's UPnP setting (Advanced -> Advanced Network -> Enable UPnP). Make sure it is checked, click on save settings, and reboot the router. The XBOX will make extensive use of that feature.
GOOD LUCK
edit: EddieZ always gets to the punchline. I decided to make something a bit bolder than originally written...

1.11 does not work on revision A4 (in case you have that one)
