Sorry, I just got this file alone. Received it from support on email, when I contacted them about a problem.

It's for rev B, I don't think it would be a good idea to use rev B firmware on rev A hardware. I could make it work for you, but I'm not responsible for any damages or bricking your router.

Do you know where i can download the 2.0 firmware for rev B1? I need to downgrade, with the 2.0 i got 22Mib wireless speed, with the new firmware i only get 2-3 Mib max.

most of the firmware i found is for rev B and will not work.

Firmware for the European B1 version. It's 2.06

To lock channel width to 40 MHz:
Disabled HT20/40 Coexistence (Advanced Wireless)

You can get it directly from the web site as well:
D-Links DIR-655 Web Site (http://www.dlink.de/cs/Satellite?c=Product_C&childpagename=DLinkEurope-DE%2FDLTechProduct&cid=1197319392719&p=1197318958220&packedargs=QuickLinksParentID%3D1197318958220%26locale%3D1195806663795&pagename=DLinkEurope-DE%2FDLWrapper)

FYI, this is not listed on the UK site. SO I presume the UK doesn't support this version.

I've managed to update to 2.06 firmware on my DIR-655 EU, guess this is the latest FW version for it, router has some new options and works better with multiplayer online great update.

ftp://ftp.dlink.de/dir/dir-655/driver_software/

be aware that it's not been officially posted on there web site so it might not be supported. Curious that it's not yet. Good luck.

I highly recommend following the FW update sticky listed in the FAQ Library (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48075.0)

Where was the router purchased? What region are you located?

Try some of the following suggestions before downgrading:
Wireless Installation Considerations (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48327.0)
What wireless modes are you using? Under Setup/Wireless/Manual.
Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N?
Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only.
Try setting a manual channel to a open or unused channel.
What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK only or Auto.
What wireless devices do you have connected?
Any cordless house phones?
Any other WiFi routers in the area? Use InSSIDer (http://www.metageek.net/) to find out.

Turn off WISH, and WPS under Advanced.
Turn off Short GI, WLAN Partition, and Extra Wireless Protection if you have it. Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.

The link to the DE site will work. I've check the India site and there some other version of FW and it's not the same and believe its for a Rev A version of router. B1 is most current and any EU site will work however I don't see v2.00 listed and the most released official version is 2.05. You would try the v2.06 or try v2.00 WW from here:

Using IE or Chrome. I recommend using IE.

What version were you trying to upload?

tried uploading with both of them, failed.

tried uploading DIR655B1_FW200b07 and DIR-655_fw_revb_205b06_ALL_de_20120118.

I would contact DLink support and ask them specifically what site and what version to get FW for your unit. Let us know what they say.
